Oil and other resources

In the class discussion a few students mentioned that in order for us to get some of our produce and other resources we use up gallons of gasoline as well as giving off carbon dioxide emissions in transporting the materials alone. In the Party's Over they mention that as an alternative to Oil as resource we use corn to provide our cars with ethanol and to fill up one SUV you can feed one person for a year. That alone was a shock. The chapter also mentioned that the countries around the world including ourselves discovered 95% of the oil on earth and 5% is remained to be found and researchers believe that its in the Arctic. Few also believe that if a country makes an attempt to send people to drill for the oil then it could lead to political issues between other countries and eventually could lead to a war.
